My first Christmas present!

I've peeked through the wrapping, but I'm saving the rest 'til Christmas.

Thanks a million, Gaz.

Cheers,

If you'd like to own the book itself (a very attractive reproduction of the family notebook), it's available through CAMSCO (dick@camsco.com)

Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I've been lucky enough to hear the Coppers live, and browsing Gaz's website brings back all those fabulous harmonies.

What an absolute joy.

6 of 11 songs with tunes in JFSS I, #1, 1899, are from the Copper family. I've heard 2 generations of Copper family singers at concerts in the USA .

Thanks for that, Bruce: that's why I'm so dedicated to the Coppers: their originary importance. And thanks Stewie.

Old news, but coming back to Bruce, there were _three_ generations of Coppers singing at the Folk Alliance in Cleveland a year ago.

Gary Gillard's Copper Family Songbook URL is no longer valid, and it's not on http://garrygillard.net/
Apparently, all of Gary's transcriptions of lyrics from The Copper Family Songbook are available at
http://www.thecopperfamily.com/books-recordings/books/songbook.html

Dick, do you still have the book available? How much does it cost?
