Subject: RE: A new honour for Bob Copper From: Bonnie Shaljean Date: 09 Aug 06 - 07:22 AM Did anyone see the programme devoted to the Coppers on BBC4 recently? Just watched the video of it last night and was reminded all over again what a brilliant gent he was. I first heard of the Coppers when I was a college student in America - over coffee, one of the other kids switched on his stereo and said "man, you've gotta hear this" and played a Coppers LP to me. Right there and then a new convert was born. So glad to see he's being commemorated. May the Copper bus run forever. |

Subject: RE: A new honour for Bob Copper From: GUEST,C age ing Date: 09 Aug 06 - 08:49 AM There were only two and a half acts that really gelled in concert at the recent Sharps Festival at 'The House' in London, Pete Cooper when playing old time fiddle, Spiers and Boden and The Coppers. All enjoyed what they were doing and so did the audience. Bob would and should be very proud of his family. Next aim, day trip to Brighton and a ride on his bus. Bill. |
