Just got a great new autoharp but need a gigbag or hard case. Can't find a supplier in UK - any help gratefully accepted. If no Brit supplier known, has anyone got one surplus to requirements? Name price, description, condition etc.

Hi Greycap...I'm down state at my parents but when I return tonight I can either get you one from a US supplier or give you one of mine. I'll be home later tonight but you'll be in bed. I'll write back tomorrow if no one beats me to it. What kind of autoharp did you buy?cheers.....harpgirl

Hi, Harpgirl, It's a Keith R Young model, of Annandale, Virginia - 13 Bar-handmade, I'm in love with it. It's about the same size as an Oscar Schmidt. Roger Erik, I tried the Music Room -dont have any. Roger

Brian Bowers has many auto harps- he had really good, insulated bags. you may want to make sure the one you get has padding/insulation layer so that it will be protected from temperature extremes-this will help it stay in tune...i have seen this company booth at some fairs: blue heron here is a link... Blue Heron® Softshell Harp Cases 1-800-899-9096 ... To Create a harp case for your instrument: Trace the base of your harp on a separate piece ... 6. Send all dimensions and the two traced pages to Blue Heron ... http://www.blueheroncases.com/harpcas...

I have a case called climate case for my guitar. it has a silver cover which reflects light and heat, i do not htink they make them anymore- might have sold the biz to a guitar company. i think they used to be made by allen guitars (?) in grass valley or nevada city california.

Greycap...I do have a spare chip board case I will give you for the cost of shipping but you have a good harp and should have a better case. If you need any more sources to order a bag, let me know. And if you want me to send you the chipboard case, it fits the standard Oscar Schmidt autoharp. Will that fit your Keith Young?

Harpgirl, that's really generous of you - before I take advantage of the offer, let me shop around a little longer. It's the same size as my Schmidt, but, you're right, something better is needed. Openmike, thanks for the info - I'll look into Colorado Cases and Heron. Thanks, everyone, for the assists.
