I am arriving at BWI around 530 AM Friday and will be glad to hook up with you, Joe. Lonesome EJ will be joining us and I dunno what time he will get in, but we will aim for early.

Is anyone leaving the Getaway (preferabley Monday) headed for Harrisonburg or anywhere nearby? I'm trying to visit a sister in that area.   Still figuring out details and flights, but will be there.

Ahhhhh, Harrisonburg is right on I-81 'bout 150 miles from the Getaway...

And I'm gonna try to get up there fir one day when Jim "Gutbucketeer" is going to have his jug band workshop so maybe Sidewalk Bob and the Pedestrian (me, Gut, Lonesome EJ, jimmyt and perhaps Amos playin' a little lead guitar) might do a mini...

Artbrooks, Thanks. I'll check with my sister and see. She was even thinking of scooping me up in DC, so I suspect Richmond would look like a good deal. I'm also going to check with some other folks who attend the Getaway who live out that way. All of my checking is on hold until I get back from a 10 day trip. Hope air fares haven't gone through the roof, although there's always the train.

My plan is to drive up Thursday and spend the night in a motel somewhere around Washington. I can be flexible about arrival time at the Getaway, and could give some one a ride from either of the Washington Airports. Willing if needed to go to Baltimore to pick up at that airport.

One caveat. If something happens so that Dani can come at the last minute, will not be driving up until Friday morning. sadly though, I don't anticipate that happening.

I was trying to decide which Getaway thread to put this on and this looked as good as any...

My son's best friend (who had the nerve to move to Florida their last year of high school) Jed has engineered it so he can join us at the Getaway this year. His plane gets into BWI around 6:30 p.m. Friday. Will there be anyone who could give him a ride at that time? Or is there someone else who needs a ride from BWI at that time so we could make good use of shared resources?

I will gladly go to pick him up from BWI, but I wanted to find out if someone else would already be traveling that route at that time.

I spoke with Allan two weeks ago. He and Carmen expect to be at the Getaway. It depends on their job situations. Allan is working a lot of overtime because another employee is ill.

I am planning to drive Joe offer and LEEJ from BWI to the Getaway Friday and back Monday morning, if that suits. I arrive at 0530 Friday morning, and, I believe, LEEJ about 10:30 or so. PM me if you need to hitch a ride from the BWI area Friday ayem.
