Anyone remember a NYC guitarist/singer named Meri Kayne? She(?) was playing folk pre 1964 and then jazz post 1964. All I know about her is from a letter that she sent to Louis McKay, Billie Holiday's windower, about Spider John Koerner's song 'Lady Day'. Meri Kayne lived in Jackson Heights at the time(1964).

Hello Geezer,
John Koerner is correct-I've been in touch with Meri. As far as helping you locate Meri goes: This is not a matter for the Café, best we communicate via PM. I can pass info along to Meri, but it will be up to her to contact you. -Best

Can’t tell you how good it feels to be remembered. To bring you up to date, I don’t look very much different except I let my hair go back red and I wear red Elton John glasses instead of contacts. Guess I look about 55 or 60. Same clothes fit, all that stuff. Stopped pro music when my son was born in 1971 so I could raise him myself. Spent the time between then and 2015 in IT and no, I’m not retired. Never will be. Been a heck of a life! Wish I could actually contact you guys.
