Subject: RE: Lyr Req: randy burns From: catspaw49 Date: 21 Apr 02 - 04:24 PM Randy Burns? Sounds like something you get when you're so excited you can't make it to the bedroom and you and you girl just flop down on the carpet and have at it. Spaw |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: randy burns From: Jim Dixon Date: 23 Apr 02 - 11:37 AM AMG lists 5 albums made by Randy Burns between 1966 and 1973. Click on the AMG link and then click on an album title to see a list of songs. Maybe one of the song titles will be familiar. If you come back with a specific song title, maybe someone at Mudcat will recognize it. Also, a quote from the song might help. I see that Randy has written a memoir. There is an article about him here and the memoir begins here. |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: randy burns From: GUEST,Guest - Lin Date: 18 Oct 10 - 12:17 AM I have the "Love & War LP and just wondering if this album is now available on CD? If you read this Randy, please let me know if you ever do concert tours in California? Thanks |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: randy burns From: TonyA Date: 18 Oct 10 - 02:01 PM I heard "Of Love and War" in someone's dorm room when it first came out. I didn't own a record player in those days, and when I finally did get one I had no idea where to find an LP like that. But it was the striking and very memorable experience of listening to that album that got me interested in folk music. Everyone else I knew had rock LP's. When I started singing and playing guitar, I learned one of the songs from it (probably not accurately, since it was based on my memory of hearing it three years earlier). I'd love to be able to buy a CD of it now. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: randy burns From: GUEST,Randy Burns Date: 21 Oct 10 - 10:02 PM If you would like to contact me directly with any questions, I can be reached at RBwrites@aol.com. I do own the rights to my ESP work but haven't had each record made into a separate cd. What I do have is a compilation of that era called the Gaslight and Exit Years which has many of the songs I did on ESP. This is available on my website RandyBurns.net and on cdbaby. Right now I mainly perform on the east coast as I live in NYC. Very nice to be remembered here. Randy Burns I am offering free downloads of my music at: www.newgroovemusic.com/randy-burns I believe the Farm Song is up on this website for download |
