Subject: RE: BS: Hamster tossing - not an Olympic event From: Peace Date: 16 Aug 04 - 10:00 PM Don't some Americans use lemmings in their tea? |
Subject: RE: BS: Hamster tossing - not an Olympic event From: ranger1 Date: 16 Aug 04 - 06:43 PM Never having owned (or known anyone who has owned) lemmings for pets, I can't vouch for their suicidal tendencies. However, having worked in a pet shop, I do know that hamsters are most definitely suidcidal. They escape from their little penthouses and leap into the jaws of cats and dogs, run under any sort of heavy items that are being set down (usually too late for the horrified owner to do anything about it) and get trapped in duct work, found only when their little corpses start to stink up the place. So, my question is still: Did they jump or were they pushed? And how much influence did they have on the poor hapless guinea pig? |

I'm pretty sure the most they can hang him for is endangering motorists, and maybe littering. What he really ought to be worried about is the Revenge of the Rodent Underground, especially if they can muster up the support of our good friend Corridus. |
Subject: RE: BS: Hamster tossing - not an Olympic event From: ranger1 Date: 16 Aug 04 - 02:24 AM Aren't hamsters kind of on the suicidal side anyway? Maybe it was some sort of hamster Jonestown? Stranger things have happened... |

"Sir John" .... it is "our" fear that you may be guilty of multiple infractions....of multiple UK laws....and the evidence may lie within your immediate neighbors....and your multiple postings to the MC threads......
If found guilty....you know, as a UK citizen....your crime and punishment will not be viewed as capriciously as our southern neighbors view such offences.....
