FSGW Getaway October 3-6, 2025!

The Folklore Society of Greater Washington's annual Getaway weekend is in the works! We'll gather October 3-6 at a beautiful riverside retreat for a whole weekend of singing, playing, concerts, jamming and great fellowship. We'll start off on Friday evening with a potluck supper, then have two full days of sing-arounds, mini-concerts, and presentations, with sign-up concerts each evening, followed by jamming and singing into the wee hours (for those who have the stamina). Above all, there are great people to share your musical interests.

Our special guests this year will be Bob and Jeanne Zentz, Michael and Carrie Kline, Elizabeth LaPrelle, Brian Dolphin and Sandy LaPrelle, Kevin Elam, our old friend Pete the Spy, and -- who knows? -- maybe more!

Registration will be open soon, so keep your eye on www.fsgw.org/getaway, and sign up for a great time. We'd love to see you for all or part of the weekend!

I posted the above earlier today, but forgot to sign in to Mudcat. I'm not a "guest," though it's been a while since I posted.

At any rate, I sure hope Mudcatters will look at the info about the FSGW Getaway -- and plan to come for at least part of the weekend of October 3-6! We surely would love to see you all, and can guarantee a great time. Registration will be open soon. Keep checking www.fsgw.org/getaway!

Everyone else must still be sleeping it off (or perhaps still in transit home), and I probably should be too, but *I* for one had a blast! Was glad the fates allowed us to make it this year.
