Subject: Pete Seeger & Tom Chapin From: paddymac Date: 04 Dec 00 - 04:32 PM There is a marvelous "summer camp for grown-ups" each summer at Western Maryland College in Westminster. It has grown over its six year history to a two week program. Next summer (2001)it will be from July 1-13. I had the chance to go a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. For the comming summer, they have just announced that Pete Seeger and Tom Chapin will be appearing on July 6 & 7. 'Catters in the mid-atlantic coast area might want to be markin' their calendars now. You can get all the details you want at www.commongroundonthehill.com (yeah, its all one word). If someone would be so kind as to turn that into a BCT we'd all be appreciative. (Fixed link - Bert) |

Subject: RE: BS: Pete Seeger & Tom Chapin From: paddymac Date: 04 Dec 00 - 09:32 PM Thanks, Bert! That link address is a bit hard to read. That's why I initially put it in angle brackets < > followed by the parenthetic comment, and asked some helpful soul to make it into a BCT. No ego bruising needed. If you're into planning that far ahead, the performances will be well worth seeing. The director of this particular camp for us big kids is Walt Michael, one of the pre-eminent hammered dulcimer players in the east. It is indeed a fun-filled hiatus for all who go. |
