Subject: RE: Folklore: Pete Seeger in New Yorker Mag From: Peter T. Date: 13 Apr 06 - 03:28 PM Yes, it is a fine article, though it stops weirdly short -- there is virtually nothing about the years 1960 - 2000! The best part is the last paragraph -- Pete a couple of years ago, no publicity, nothing, standing out in the pouring rain on a highway just before the Iraq War holding up a sign just saying "Peace". A reminder of why he is such a great man. yours, Peter T. |
Subject: RE: Folklore: Pete Seeger in New Yorker Mag From: Joe Offer Date: 13 Apr 06 - 03:56 PM I was hoping they'd have the article online, but they don't. For the record, the article is in the New Yorker issue for April 17, 2006. I really like that magazine, but I don't have time to read the magazines I get now. Guess I'd better head to the library for this one. -Joe Offer- |
