Political speech is the most protected speech in America.
So how will the limited/narrow gag orders play out?
The inevitable defiance of narrow gag orders may end up in the Supreme Court. I do not think Judges are going to pull 'the contempt of court trigger' and jail Donald.

Intimidating and defaming witnesses will be allowed or not on social media like Twitter, Truth Social or even Mudacat..
I suspect Trump's impunity and inciting speech will continue.

When assassinations of Trump's targeting technique happen, he has not been indicted as an accomplice to murder. Is it an unintended consequence or a deliberate order to attempt murder?

At least Robert is part of the resistance. My family is part of the resistance in ways available to us outside of silly social media. We write handwritten postcards to Republicans in Georgia, Ohio and some other states prior to elections. The questions and hopes expressed are not strident but one of friendship and explanations of why we care. So far the number of cards sent are less than a thousand but we are not alone. We buy postcards from Amazon with themes from the universe to pictures we think might be saved. We will never know about actual results but even small efforts can have positive effects.

A few laws would be curative. Get rid of the Electoral College. In 1969 we came within a handful of Senate votes to abolish the Electoral College.

Make registering to vote mandatory at 18 so that voter suppression would no longer work.

Make white supremacy political parties illegal just as we did with the Communist Party.

I have found the least likely people to change their minds tend to be die-hard Trumpists. The reason has something to do with feelings of victimization, anger, vengeance, and psychological issues. I am not surprised by those who choose to cling to and enjoy a 'dangerous' leader who calls for retribution.

From their victim's point of view, they feel a gross injustice that must be corrected by any means.

Technically the House could lie about the crime and evidence for an impeachment vote. Many people wonder what Trump tapped into to entice nearly half of the people to his version of populism. It is not merely fascism or his big lie. IT IS WHAT PEOPLE LEARNED AS CHILDREN. For years people learned how to suppress their early teachings that were offensive in society but carried those feelings deep inside. Once legitimized those early lessons surface.

I believe Americans AND Europeans are equally educated that a high cultured society like Germany or even the US can go from a reasoned society to one where it is socially acceptable to shoot, hang, and gas women and children to death on a Saturday and go to church Sunday over just 10 short years of cultural change.

Replacement theory does not veil its genocidal final solution.
Participation in such a killing society varies from a simple hatred of certain neighbors to the actual murderers.

The change is done incrementally. I think it is a small step to go from mass shootings to organized mass shootings nationwide. It probably takes someone like Trump to normalize the unthinkable.

Trump received 45.9% of those people, in reality receiving the vote of about 30% of the whole voting population.

The point about cultism is very valid. We saw it here in the UK with Boris Johnson too. There are still people who believe he was just 'one of the lads'. Sadly Jeremy Corbyn was becoming a bit of a cult amongst left wingers too and, for all he is a decent human being with good policies, he was not a god.
