Tennessee officials were quick to release the body cam videos from police to show that they weren't like the Texas police. The shooter was apparently suicidal and had told someone else s/he was going to die that day.

More Grand Jury interviews this week; yesterday the former owner of the National Enquirer was interviewed. And in other hearings we learn that the former Chief of Staff and attorney have been ordered to testify, piercing the privilege protections they claimed. But it is so slow. The world seems to be heading to Hell in an Handbasket with all of the shit going on. Put Trump out of business and move forward to fix things.

Trump puts his hand on his heart and stands at attention to the Qanon theme song. I expect to eventually see his new version of the American flag which will look like a hybrid of the confederate battle flag and the former South African flag.

He would need another miracle like the November surprise) FBI Comey investigation of Hillary right before voting day, but bigger, since Trump has an amazing shrinking base.

Isreal is shut down today because of protests against Netanyahu trying to abolish the judiciary. Democracies are messy and slow to respond but they do finally respond.

The Waco date is significant in certain circles - sovereign citizen types who used to live in a secretive way now are out in the open. Jeff Guinn has a new book: Waco that looks back at the event. Guinn was a journalist for years at the local newspaper but now makes a good living as a deep research writer of nonfiction books. There are countless memes out there that express opinions that reject religions that insist on dictating how other people think and act. Christianity in the US is becoming the American Taliban. If more moderate xtians can't convince their brethren to tone it down and take a few steps back, then they need to act, or reject outright the behavior - do something to regain their religion. Just like moderate GOP members have to contend with the lunatics in power right now.

Trump is trying to control the event, to dictate how this story moves forward. His proclaiming that he will be arrested on Tuesday is trying to get in front of the story. But this one is carrying him along to parts unknown.

Gosh. I've been on here countless times grandstanding my militant atheism. I haven't got much time for Christianity or any other creed that people were accidentally born into and find it hard to escape from. But let's be careful here. The majority of people who I've lived with, were brought up with, who brought me up, worked with or otherwise encountered in multifarious ways have been Christians "to some degree" (discuss!). Most of them are decent people who have certain views I don't agree with and who don't agree with some of my views. Whatever Trump has done he has not done it in the name of Jesus, whatever he might claim. Neither have the sanctimonious bastards who support him "in the name of Jesus," whatever THEY might claim. Let's keep a sense of perspective. And come on, you genuine Christians, speak up and don't let these bloody charlatans get away with it. And we non-Christians too!
