Subject: Girl Scout song in another language From: Susan of DT Date: 13 Jul 16 - 10:44 AM This song is running through my head. I leaned it in girl scouts in the 1950s. Here is what it sounded like to me: Ador-ay-o, ador-ay-bun-y-o Ador-ay-bun-day ra-say-sa Ra say ka say ha ho. It is very cheerful. Does anyoine know anything ab out it? Language? meaning? more words? |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Camp Song 'adoreo'/Sarasponda From: open mike Date: 25 Mar 10 - 04:04 PM here is another thread where we discussed this.. the different spelling is probably what made it NOT be included in the links, or found in the search. http://www.mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=29213 |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Camp Song 'adoreo' From: Azizi Date: 29 Oct 06 - 11:53 PM Hello, open mike. In case you or someone else reading this doesn't know the steps for making blue clickies, here's how I did it: 1. I copied the link you had posted {"the copy" feature is found in "edit" on the top of the page. 2. I then clicked on the "Make a link {blue clicky}" feature that is found at the bottom of this box. 3. That lead me to a link maker page. I put the URL {website address} that you posted in the "Link URL column" that appears on that page. 4. Since I didn't name the link, I skipped the "Link text (optional*)" column, and clicked on "create link". 5. Once that link appeared, I copied it. 6. I then came back to this page and pasted that link in the Mudcat message box. [There may be other ways that work, but this is what works for me] Btw, I don't know what "URL" stands for. And BTW2, I never heard that sara sponda/ adoreo song before. Thanks for sharing info about that video. The kids were cute singing it. Best wishes, Azizi |

Amazing how these things get around. |

Subject: Lyr Req: Camp Song 'adoreo' From: oldockbunny Date: 29 Oct 06 - 01:07 PM Glad to find this Cafe! What a great idea! I remember a song they used to sing at camp in the 60s. It had either nonsense or other-than-English lyrics. Included (phonetic spelling) "a-door-ay-oh. a-door-ay boom-day oh. a-door-ay boom-day ret-set-set. ah-say pah-say oh." No, I still have my sanity. They really sang that. Anyone know it? |
