Subject: Review: Martin Carthy - Online Concert via LOC From: Hagman Date: 17 Jun 21 - 08:57 PM Online concert sponsored by Library of Congress, from the American Folklife Center. Martin Carthy playing in Whitby, with great overlay of surrounding Yorkshire coastline etc. incl. Robin Hood's Bay, released to the web on June 16. A wonderful half-hour, beautifully shot and edited. Performance is impeccable. Access all areas here. Apologies In Advance if this has already been mentioned - couldn't find any reference. Also released on the same day in the same series is a show with banjoists Jody Stecher and Kate Brislin, which is worth a look. Thanks to Mudcatter Geoff G. for alerting me to this series. (I just realised that MC will never lose his guitar - it's got his name written on the head-board AND in the soundhole.... ;-)) |
