Subject: Tech: Images of the Blue Plate Special CDs From: reggie miles Date: 12 Apr 04 - 03:38 PM Can anyone direct me through the myriad of threads on the subject of the recordings to the one that had links to the pictures of the Blue Plate Special cd set jackets? I'd like to post an Image of the Plum cd jacket on my website. My song, "The Cute Little Girl With The Shimmy In Her Pants", is on that disc. I've already posted a link to the Cafe, and to the page that sells the recordings. I would also like to include an image of the jacket of the Plum disc on my page, but I can't seem to get an acceptable image by right clicking and saving as. Can anyone offer any help or suggestions? Please realize that I'm still a novice at all of these mind boggling processes. Thanks much |

Subject: RE: Tech: Images of the Blue Plate Special CDs From: reggie miles Date: 12 Apr 04 - 04:06 PM Amos, yep I've alredy been there. I don't believe you understand clearly what I'm after. The image there, when I try to save it, and resize it, ends up as blurry jpg and not suitable to reuse on my website's page. This may be due to my inadequate software programs for the manipulation of such. I saw, somwhere here early on, a link to a page that contained the individual images of the jackets. I was hoping to glean an image from there but have had no end of threads to search through as you can see by the list above. I don't own a copy of the discs yet. If I did, I'd just scan it. Thanks for your link but I need another. |

Subject: RE: Tech: Images of the Blue Plate Special CDs From: JohnInKansas Date: 12 Apr 04 - 04:56 PM Reggie - I have the CD, and have already made scans of the booklet for my file. At 150 dpi, full size, the 5 pages of the front folder and back outside panel make "high res" .jpg at 200 KB each. The image that Amos linked is a 300dpi, 10 KB, and only about a half inch square. It cuts without resampling to a 72 dpi at about 20% of full size that doesn't look too bad. I did make a try at running it up to full size, but it gets pretty fuzzy. Drop me a PM with an email addy, and let me know what you want, and I can send .jpg (or two or five) that should work. If you don't have image software, I can cut them back to 72 dpi and "web resolution" (or whatever you want) easily, but it would be best to know what size you want them to display so you don't have to make multiple passes.
