That film was a dramatic triumph! Exquisite acting, a great script, outstanding camera work. It should have swept the Golden Globes, the Oscars, Cannes, Sundance, the lot.

Mind you, I didn't actually see the thing.

Therapy *was* called for after seeing what was indeed an "unforgettable" performance. Believe me I have Tried to forget it. Thankfully the decades have at least blunted the edge of the wholly tramatic experience.

It was the equivilant of listening to a Bach chorale performed by a combination of tone-deaf chimpanzees and tortured dogs.

It was the equivilant of a gastronome being forced to eat at McDonalds; the entire collection of paintings at the louvre being coated in whitewash. It was a desecretion.

Really??? Imagine that. You surprise me, Mario. My impression was that I had done an absolutely sterling performance on that part. Surely you jest? Leonard....you know...Leonard Nimoy?...told me I did an "unforgettable" job on that one, and he wouldn't lie, would he? Of course not.

In any case, if it takes you "years to recover" from merely seeing a dramatic film, what are you going to do if something genuinely serious comes along in your life?

and aside from the occasional infestation of ralfs, things are usually pretty friendly in general around MOAB - well, except for Amos and Rapaire - but they don't mean it, and it's always open season on the Sahtman - but that's normal, and well, Gluon has been known to take a nip at people he hasn't met, but he's just doing his job, if you know what I mean.

heck - I can open MOAB on dial up - you just do it with the paged version - takes hardly longer then a normal thread.

Ah, but the paged version uses about 64 bytes for each link to each page. A page is (I think) 50 posts. That means that the 'index' of pages at the top of the pages for this thread will be far bigger than the pages themselves. How long each page will take to load is left as an exercise for the reader.

She was missing the litter box when she whizzed. I got to thinking and decided that a litter box doesn't need to have been designed as such so I got one of those big plastic storage containers. The thing is 12 inches high. Well, for a few weeks it worked like a charm. Her pee would hit the side and run down into the litter. Lately though, she has been pissing over the top of even this thing. At least the box is in the (unfinished) basement. It's still a pain to have to clean it up.

My dog doesn't have fleas but he has been scratching a lot lately. Usually just the leg on his side kind of thing, not always in the same spot. Might have to look into a remedy soon. The jingling of his collar gets old. I take it off at night so we can all get some sleep.
