The truth is, he really isn't sure what he's saving it for. Shane simply doesn't understand politics, but if Don Cherry (the hockey commentator) were to run for office I definitely think Shane would get interested enough to work for the Cherry campaign and would get out and vote. He worships Don Cherry.

Amazing when you stop to think about it. Just this morning I was thinking of pulling this thread up from the depths. I saw where some Brit had suggested that the $700 billion bailout just go to individuals since it would be some 365 thousand per adult (something like that, can't be bothered to get the exact numbers). The difference in the numbering systems was pointed out (though I would have prefered if it had not happened until after I got my check, oh, well).

Anyway, I got to wondering about numbers. In the US of A 1,000,000 is one million and 1,000,000,000 is one billion. If you have to go to 1,000,000,000,000 to get to a billion in the UK then what do you call 1,000,000,000? This may have been answered before but to find out would require research on my part.

Especially since My Canadian Agents have it on excellent authority that Shane McBride of Blind River is going to be the first exception to Canada's "no capital punishment" rule. The hanging is scheduled for 12 noon, GMT, on October 8.

Seems like he bragged once too often about being "well hung" and the woman judge was not amused. The sentence has been approved all the way up and down the line and includes such notations as "Good!" and "About damned time!"
