I'd have to disagree with some of the posters here ... somewhat. The 110 sound and playability is impressive for a lower end guitar ... I do question the quality. It certainly does not match a 310 ... even though I own a 310, I'm not being biased ... the 310 and 410 are the best bang for the buck in the Taylor series. They don't have the visual glitter, but the sound is certainly there (then again if you like that Taylor sound).

I should also add the 110's and the Taylor babies are now manufactured in Mexico ... so if you think you are getting a guitar made in the U.S.A, your wrong.

They're okay for what they are, that is lower priced and lower quality sound, but they're built well enough. Don't expect the high end Taylor quality sound though, it just isn't there. As starter or back-up axes they're good, but if you're serious you'll someday want to upgrade.

Bought one for my son as intro to acoustic (110e) and he loves it. Not fancy and it has laminate sides and back but easy to play and sounds great.

    I played one a few weeks ago. It had good action. The sound seemed to be a little brighter than say a 310 series, which isn't a bad thing if you like that type of sound. But overall it seemed to be a very nice package. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. The only complaint I had was it doesn't come with a hardshell case. Although it does come with a Taylor gig bag.
