Also, I think it was on ABC News but it might have been PBS News. The Christians might not have actually been touching him. Maybe they were just holding their hands a little bit away from him, sending him the Christian energy to help him in his "mission" - whatever they thought THAT might be.

I also keep thinking about how surprised a lot of his followers were when, a) they found out COVID was real and dangerous, and b) they found out that the attack on the Capitol was in fact a life-threatening attack.

Washington Week reported an additional 135 Billion dollars has been used
to (bailout) prop up a number of banks that will not be disclosed for 2 years. This can lead to a snap slow down in the economy which is probably too much medicine to lower inflation.

Instead, there was a highly suspicious short squeeze that fueled a big rally in the prices of publicly-traded banks.

That unwarranted optimism has now been reversed this morning with Dow futures down more than 600 points just after 8:00 a.m. in New York; major banks in Europe temporarily halted from trading after steep selloffs; and troubled Swiss behemoth bank, Credit Suisse, down 24 percent to a new all time low of $1.74 in morning trade in Europe following multiple trading halts. He borrows from banks, he doesn't invest in them - that I know of - so his diddling the rules regarding banks would have been to benefit himself. I don't usually turn on the MSNBC folks in the morning, but today we have two Trump-caused crises looming: anti-abortion advocates went judge-shopping and found one of his appointees in Amarillo, TX, to try to overturn FDA approval of Mifepristone, while mid-size huge banks totter because Trump cut out important features of the Dodd-Franks bill that would have prevented this.

Biden needs to do something about expanding the Supreme Court. Or impeach a criminal-class judge who Trump appointed and Clarence Thomas should never have been approved. That one's on Biden, whichever way you look at it.

Another Trump outcome has come to pass. His legislation to deregulate 250 billion dollar banks has led to the second largest bank failure like the bigger banks in 2008. Deregulation allows banks to invest depositor money in high-risk schemes that make for bonus money for executives., but anathema for others.

On the Trump front, his former attorney Cohen will probably testify to the grand jury soon.

Michael Cohen, former President Trump’s former personal lawyer, believes he will be called to testify to the New York grand jury investigating the former president “very soon.”

Cohen told reporters his prediction on the way to meeting with the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which is investigating alleged hush money payments Cohen arranged on behalf of the former president to two women who said they had sex with Trump.

He has met with investigators more than a dozen times throughout the course of the Manhattan investigation.

Cohen arranged large sums for adult film star Stormy Daniels and playboy model Karen McDougal before the 2016 election. Cohen paid Daniels $130,000 and McDougal was paid $150,000 by American Media, the then-parent company of The National Enquirer tabloid.

Trump has denied that he had sexual relations with either of the women. Cohen pled guilty to a bevy of charges related to the payoffs and other conduct last year. He was sentenced to three years in prison but served little of it due to the coronavirus pandemic.

He sought a law degree as well in Denver but a family and teaching was a bridge too far. He got tenure in New York when I was old enough to glean some of his knowledge and ethics. He kept his head down during the McCarthy era while colleagues wrote books about the Military Industrial Complex. In his day he was in Who's Who but retired with a following of lawyers who studied Constitutional law with him in their youth. His books involved the Supreme Court in human terms and not a scientific analysis. That was considered old school. His standards were strict, however. We ate bacon and he was as reformed as one can get so teaching me religion in Hebrew school was forbidden. As a result I rarely saw the survivors in his side of the family. My dyslexia was not understood so my difficulty in school was attributed to laziness. I have educated my self and now have an affinity to Russel Brand.
