By God...I'm glad I'm not suffering today in that particular fashion. A couple of weeks ago I was, but I managed to overcome the tendency after struggling with it for a bit. It nearly had me pinned to the mat. In the past week I have met so many beautiful women that it boggles the mind...yet I am still in love with my own particular muse...but free to breathe easy at the same time. Thank God for that.

I also "fear I (may) offer what she will refuse"...but if so, well then, I will be most happy to number her among my true friends and accept what is as it is. Either way is just fine. You can't make someone love you in any particular fashion.

And don't forget, I launched this thread. ;-)

I had some kind of bug in my computer which necessitated some shut downs and transfers and I didn't bother to check to see if i was signed in as myself.

FYI LH...I'm alsways up by 7:00 but don't think that is virtuous or healthy in its own right...expecially when you go to bed at 3:00.

A wizard searches, and spells find
Treasure beyond compare:
Young dryad, with sweet soul and mind,
With dreams that heart might share.

" I find one whose words speak to me
With echoes of my dreams.
Might I hope that this muse might be
Truly as she now seems?"

He offers verse: Reflections of
The thoughts he holds of her.
He tries to tell those dreams of love
That with her words occur.

It is not lips, nor touch, nor eyes
That capture with their fire:
But dream that, from her writing, tries
To wizard's heart inspire.

He asks only what he would give
In pursuit of romance.
He hopes that dreams might someday live
And passion have it's chance.

That muse cares for his words brings joy:
But he prays she knows force

Friends can be lovers, but how many lovers are truly friends?

What I mean is, if a friend decides to go to Europe for a few months, you don't get worried about it, do you? Nope. You wish them well. If they decide to go out with some other people on Saturday, you don't worry about it.   You figure it'll be great to see them when they eventually return.

And that is the difference between love and attachment. ;-)

Lovers who can truly be friends are not only in love, they are also free.

I worry about my muse when she is not happy. What she does is not the issue- her happiness is. I have friends and lovers- but as muse she is something beyond that.

A true friend is someone that one would do something for that effects one's self in a negative manner, if it has a positive effect upon the friend.

Thought of her brings my passions fire,
And her smile soul redeems.

A rose each morning, and a kiss
To wake her with sun's rise:
A chance for smile I would not miss,
Nor sight of her sweet eyes.

I would hold muse, and let lips trace
Her neck, and down each arm:
I'd rub her feet, and kiss her face,
And keep always from harm.

She is one I would offer all
Of self, to that smile win.
I need only her wish to fall
In love, and world would spin.

Yet, can I make dreams real? She holds
The key, to dreams unseal:
I know only that desire folds
Future round thoughts I feel.
