Subject: RE: BS: Imagine John Lennon alive From: GUEST Date: 08 Dec 05 - 04:26 PM I imagine he would have been a Bob Geldof type figure. Able to bridge the gap between youth and politicians and listened to by some and ridiculed by others. I can see him as a spokesperson for peace and green issues with very short cropped receding hair and trademark specs. His personal relationships with family would be solid and his art works worth a fortune. Saatchi would have commissioned something big and contemporary that highlighted the plight of the starving and dispossessed of the world. All in all a thoroughly good egg. After all he was the eggman. |
Subject: RE: BS: Imagine John Lennon alive From: alanabit Date: 08 Dec 05 - 04:14 PM I imagine he would never have made another important record. I wish he had lived though. He would have seen his son grow up and he would probably have got back with the other three Beatles - not as a colleague, but as a friend, who had a unique experience in common with the others. I enjoyed the bit of his life he gave me, so I would not have asked him for any more. |
