Got some good news and some bad news last night from P-Gator... The good news is that he is alive an well... The bad news is that he's now in New Jersey...

Jus funnin' about the bad news thing...

Anyway, P-Gator wanted me to tell everyone he's okay and "hey" but he won't be around much until he can get access to a pudder other than havin' to use the one at the local library...

So how is he going with getting his hands on an instrument - one was offered here, but the logistics of getting it to him may be the hassle - logistics seemed to be the main hassle with the aftermath of Katrina anyway...

Ahhhh, seems he'll be stciken 'round Jersey fir awhile... He had forgotten just how colorfull the toxic waste dumps are at night...

Plus, he's livin' at his elderly mom's house and is gonna help her out fir a while...

Twenty years accumulation of leftover bee-you-tee-ful upholstery and other fabrics from his wife's business, Sins. They'd just started offering it on eBay.

no doubt planner of Mardi Gras are meeting now to formulate alternate plans, in case New Orleans is not ready. The tradition will survive, even if some of the historical artifacts and surroundings do not.

Perhaps PoppaGator should consider coming to the Getaway. According to the form, there are "scholarships" available if he's short on cash. Otherwise, I'll wager there enough Mudcatters who are going and would chip in some money to pay his and his wife's way - Tom

Or maybe I can get Kendall and Jacqui to travel by the northern route if I offer a bed and enough food....
